General Characteristics

ULTRASOUND cables derive from the examination of what happens in the energy transmission (obviously scaled to signals of lower amplitude) and they are a part of a program of experiments intended to minimize the feedback induced in load driving.

We have started from these facts:

ithe connection cables can cause audible variations (sometimes macroscopic) to the sound quality;
the cause of this phenomenon is not explainable with the usual analysis in the frequency domain.

Therefore it seems logical to look for the explanation in the time domain, investigating on the transmission and reflection of signals that happens on each electric conductor termined on two impedances. A particular case happens when a loudspeaker is driven by a valve amplifier: due to the presence of the output transformer, the two impedances at the ends of the line are practically equal, minimizing the problem of the reflections along the cable if this has an adequate impedance.

Besides, don't forget that a cable crossed from current gives birth to an electromagnetic field that interferes with the other fields inside the same environment, both those produced by other components of the hifi system, and those caused from other electric devices; as such interactions cause audible lowering of the sound quality, it is opportune to reduce it the most possible.

Following these considerations, we have developed signal and power cables able to reduce the above named phenomenons; such cables reveal their superior characteristics when used with high-quality amplifications.

The signal cables come normally in the length of 1.3 meters with gold plated RCA terminations, power cables have normal length of 3 meters with terminations in silvered copper; both are handbuilt on order.




Two qualitative levels are available: the first (level 1) allows excellent performances at a moderate cost, the second (level 2) is addressed to the top independently from any other consideration. All the cables have the brandname on one of the two extremity, so it is possible to characterize the direction of employment: in fact, altough the structure is not directional, once connected the cable it is better to use it always in the same direction (otherwise a lowering in sound quality can occur).

All cables are entirely handcrafted on order; they are available from resellers and factory direct. Delivery in a week; for different lenght and connectors time and costs can vary according to the requested materials.


Level 1

SIGNAL 1: signal cable with intrinsic balanced structure; gold plated RCA terminations.

Great balance and naturalness, dynamics and cleanness. Sound transparent, sweet and polish.


POWER 1: power cable with silver-plated fork terminations.

Lenght 3 metres; moderate flexibility.

Great cleanness and coherence; detail similar to silver cables, but without their thinness.




Level 2

SIGNAL 2: signal cable with intrinsic balanced structure, designed for rejection of electromagnetic interferences; gold plated RCA terminations.

POWER 2: power cable designed for the maximum interferences rejection; termined with silver plated forks.

Lenght 3 metres; low flexibility.

Loudspeaker Stands

In all loudspeakers systems (not floorstanding) the support (stand) often influence notably the result: this happens because the vibrations of the cabinet (caused by the operation of the loudspeakers) involve the support. According to the materials and the type of construction used for the stand, the sound result can therefore be very different. On the market there are many cheap built supports (typically constituted by a structure in joined pipes) able to influence the sound, because the serious resonances of the structure generally lead to heavy coloration.

To obtain the maximum from our own loudspeakers system (but not only from ours) we have designed - using our knowledge in acoustics, mechanics, vibrations - supports with adequate technical and acoustic characteristics and with an aesthetical appearance perfectly integrated to our products. The stands are made in three different materials: metal, marble and wood. The first two have structural functions, the third is used for his aesthetical value. The pedestals allow coupling of loudspeakers with the floor, getting an optimal vibration's transfer and achieving at the same time a remarkable lowering of the system's center of gravity. The construction is on request: normally the surfaces are available in black marble (joined to black legs) or in white marble (joined to golden legs); in both cases, the wooden frame recalls the finish of the cabinets. The contact with the ground and with the cabinet is possible by means of adjustable pins (for floors with carpets or similar) or by means of screw (recommended in most cases) on whose head it is possible to install uncoupling devices, for an extremely wide range of solutions. Personalized design and/or different materials are available on request. The supports are demountable for an easy transport.

We have developed with the same criteria and the same materials a modular structure (shelf number upon request) to hold the electronics.
With normal shelf dimensions, weight is 25-30 kg for every shelf, so it is better not exceeding 3 - 4 shelves if the admissible load of the floor is not well known.
